Sole to Soil is Wellness Solutions Africa's flagship community event — a four-hour guided 10km walk through Ngong Forest Sanctuary, one of Nairobi's most stunning indigenous forest reserves on the southern edge of the city. Participants walk in Eskuri Barefoot shoes — natural movement footwear designed to let your feet feel the ground without going unshod.

The walk covers 6–8 km of forest trails at an easy-to-moderate pace. Movement coaches lead short stops at key points to introduce foot activation exercises, breathing mechanics, and postural awareness. The experience is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels, including those recovering from chronic pain or returning to movement after a break.

What is included

  • Guided movement coaching throughout the walk
  • Natural movement introduction and foot activation session with Eskuri Barefoot
  • Conservation briefing from our environmental partner
  • Post-walk community circle and cool-down

What to bring

  • Eskuri Barefoot shoes or comfortable walking shoes
  • Water bottle (at least 1 litre)
  • Light layer — the forest is cool in the morning
  • Sunscreen

Location and timing

Meet at the Ngong Forest Sanctuary entrance by 7:30 am. The walk starts at 8:00 am sharp and ends by 12:00 noon. The sanctuary entry fee is paid at the gate and goes directly to conservation work.
