Millions of Kenyans live outside the country — in the UK, the United States, Canada, Australia, and beyond. Many carry the same unresolved movement problems they had at home: back pain from long desk hours, knee trouble from old injuries, postural issues from years of sedentary work. The assumption has always been that proper physiotherapy requires being physically present. That's no longer true.
What remote movement coaching actually covers
At Wellness Solutions Africa, we work with diaspora clients via structured online sessions. A typical remote engagement covers:
- Postural assessment via video call — we observe how you sit, stand, and move
- Movement screening to identify compensations and weaknesses
- Pain history review and functional goal setting
- A personalised exercise programme with video demonstrations
- Follow-up check-ins to progress or modify the plan
What we cannot do remotely
Hands-on manual therapy — joint mobilisation, soft tissue release, dry needling — requires physical presence. If you need that level of intervention, we'll refer you to a trusted local provider in your country while still managing your overall programme remotely.
Who is this best suited for?
Remote sessions work best for people dealing with chronic postural pain, movement dysfunction, post-rehabilitation maintenance, or prevention. If you had an acute injury in the last 72 hours, see someone locally first.
How to get started
Book a remote assessment session through our bookings page. You'll receive a video call link and a short pre-session questionnaire. Sessions are charged in Kenyan shillings — family members back home can pay on your behalf if needed.
The distance between Nairobi and London is not a reason to keep living with pain.
